Apr 7, 2018 · Varget and 140 grain Accubonds was around 2750fps with good accuracy. RL16 was better than Varget with 140 grain Accubonds in my rifle at 2800fps. Although, Big Game was the best with the 140 grain Partitions getting around 2850fps. I found a load with Varget and 120 grain NBT, but only with magnum primers for 3000fps. As usual, with any reloading data, the components and charge weights used here were safe in the rifles they were tested in, and any change of components could result in dangerous pressure. While I don't have a 7-08 I have used IMR 4064 in .257 Roberts, .30-06 and .35 Whelen, in my experience it has given me better accuracy than Varget and RL-15.
