I kind of agree, medium roll feels better in Elden Ring to me and I've not been able to put my finger on why exactly. Every souls game before this I always made sure I met the light roll ratio, even if it meant being naked. Yet now in Elden Ring, I want to be heavy enough to be medium. Something feels very different about it, in a good way.

Yup forget light roll. Load your guy up on med roll. Unless you're running the talisman that boosts damage the lower your equip load or you're doing a low-level playthrough, you should stick to medium equipment load.
