383 posts · Joined 2019. #2 · Jan 16, 2024. you can't bypass the DEF codes. the other issue is your DPF system, if it doesn't clear with a regen, it may need to be replaced or cleaned. there is a thread on here that explains cleaning the filter with chemicals. otherwise it needs to be cut out cleaned and re-installed.

DEF is used about 3%, so assuming you are getting 6 mpg towing that heavy load for 10,000 miles that is 1600 gallons of fuel and 50 gallons of DEF, the tank is not that big. Someone has messed with your truck and never told you, bad bad news.
