Since the larger engine consumes more air than a smaller engine, the turbo will give more boost to a smaller engine. Shaft speed is only one part of it.

Turbo size and CI is only two knows, in lots of variable factors. Turbo's are designed for an ideal range of how they will work best, but will still make some kind of power/boost, maybe just not efficiently or as good as a matched unit. Depends on the rpm and hp you're trying to run. The CNC BB3Xtra flows decent air and would be a good choice if you're looking for a decent power band. Another good choice would be the Dart 355 CNC. Bigger heads will flow more air and work better at higher rpm but may not make better power. JMO.
