Forum post lead me to believe it is torque converter and mechanics I spoke to agree. Tried shudder fixx lube and it didn't fix it. Two shops I talked to recommended going ahead and replacing the full transmission since it has decently high mileage and could have debris in it. Torque converter would be $1500 or so, full replacement about $4500.
