Dodge durango intermittent starting problem.
durango 2018: intermittent problem with rotary shifter. I noted a minor problem more than once when I went from Park to Reverse and the transmission did no engage and the engine revved while not pulling a trailer. I put it in Drive and then back to Reverse and it would engage and function normally. I subsequently had a major problem.

In the winter of 2020 I noticed a lime green (manufacturer dye) staining on the snow below my durango, removed plastics and identified a very small leak on the bottom drivers side ac condenser. Also heard hissing coming from front vents. Checked AC pressure with recharge kit indicating sufficient 1234yf.I purchased a 2011 Dodge Durango Crew in March of this year 64000 miles. By July 66000 miles we were having issues with it not starting. You could go through a couple of starting cycles and it would finally start. When I dropped the tank I decided to turn on ignition and the damn pump kicked on. I replaced the pump anyways since I was halfway into it. Ran and started good for a week n same issue returns.The Dealer may have found the problem. There was a module that controls the accent lights in the door that was faulty. This module is connected with the push start button and the wireless starting module. Hope it fixes the problem. My dealer pulled the code up when he plugged his IPAD into my On Board Diagnostic Port.

Jul 16, 2023 · 2011 - 2013 Dodge Durango TIPM Module Repair Wait sorry just reread your post + you've replaced the TIPM 3 times. Please disregard what I wrote above. I will say that before my TIPM was replaced I could pull the blower motor relay and it would start functioning again. After a while pulling the relay addressed the issue less and less. In this case then this sort of (maybe) eliminates the crankshaft position sensor but leaves a flaky/intermittent fuel pump as a possible explanation. If possible you want to when you go to start the engine try to confirm the fuel pump is running. If you go to start the engine and do not hear the pump running then that tells you something.
