I live in Spearfish, SD and there is some decent (though limited amounts) of riding virtually just out my door. I ride a Sportsman 850 SP. I very very RARELY run into any other riders (ATV/UTV) ever where I ride.This area has numerous Forest Service roads that make great atv trails in a beautiful area of the Black Hills. Things to watch for include Crooks Tower, Whitetail Peak, or even a well hidden, Cave Draw. Trail 233.1B is little used but has history dating back to the Custer Expedition. Trail 419 takes you over the top of the Black Fox area.
