You have to go before the world erodes, otherwise the random trees and shit will make using a car impossible; additionally, there's a city's worth of zombies along and near the base itself, very condensed. You need to come prepared with lots of food, water, weapons, and an escape plan.

if you are overheating you will get thirsty faster. if you are freezing you will get hungry faster. you can use cars to block access to windows. the fence and furniture/crate exploit still works. as of build 41.65. if you want to hotwire a vehicle without the burglar trait, you'll need 2 mechanics and 1 electricity.
