When I try to close the passenger side window by lifting the power switch, it goes all the way up then bounces back to halfway shut (or open - take your pick). It won't move up again until I move it down after which i can incrementally move it up until it closes.Roll the window down from the passenger side with its button and hold it down once all the way down for 3 seconds or so. Next roll it back up and again hold it up for 3 seconds or so. The passenger switch acts as a relay for power to the window motor from the driver switch. So if the passenger switch has a problem the driver side switch isn't going to work either. There's a window reset procedure that might fix this - maybe caused by the battery disconnect. I believe it's in the owner's manual, but I have a bookmark with the procedure. I'm guessing you can do it on your passenger side, too.
