Those Crews are the Best for Hostiles for Other players when I used my Ent I used TOS Uhura, TOS Kirk and Khan or Gorkon, another good crew is Lorca, Tilly and Khan or Gorkon u can also use various other Combos incl Harrison, Younger Mudd and many more. For PvE your approach doesn't change. PMC/PMT is the way to go.
