I am trying to get any information I can on it. It has model 36-1 just in front of the cylinder and a number 28277 with a D10 under it. The serial number on the butt of the frame is J8000xx. At the time it was manufactured, there was no +P. It was designed to shoot .38 Special as it was made in the 1950's. In the 1970's, SAMMI downgraded .38 Special standard pressure by 20% from around 900 fps to around 740 fps, then created +P which is basically the standard pressure as it existed in the 1950's and prior.
