I bought the fcu to make a whole pistol with parts left over from a rx x-change kit project. The previous owner added a Sig straight trigger, and I have an Apex straight trigger on my other fcu in my original 320c. Of the two I prefer the m17. I can’t say if it is the whole package, or just the difference between the two triggers.
We precision cut the manual safety pocket in ANY P320 FCU in 9mm, 40S&W, 357SIG, 10mm or 45ACP to exact SIG Sauer specifications (X-Ten Carry Comp cannot be converted due to the slide width). Each frame is tested for fit and function. The SIG manual safety parts are exchanged for your existing non-manual safety FCU parts. Grip is cut as required. With the FCU, that is the "gun", as in, the serialized, regulated part. Unlike more standard handguns, the frame itself is not the serialized part, and can be swapped easily. The M17/M18 FCUs are marked as such, and have cutouts for manual safeties. The M17 is not a radically different gun, however, it is different than a standard P320.They aren’t selling the same FCU that comes in a stock P320. Clearly, Sig can sell FCU’s at a lower price with a standard curved trigger and stamped stainless frame- I just bought one! 796 posts · Joined 2018. #2 · Aug 2, 2022. I've never had a problem swapping FCU's from one grip frame to another. But they've all been Sig grip frames. So the Sig FCU fits fine in Sig TXG and Sig X series frames. But it doesn't work in the Icarus frame.

To elaborate on this, about 5 months ago I bought a civilian M17 and was so impressed with the trigger I figured I’d use that as the centerpiece of the build. Luckily I found the 3 FCU’s and didn’t need to part out the civvy m17. I still have it in the safe just in case one of the girls wants it. You know how daughters can be lol.
