The ropes are lighter and overall quieter. I do have the buckles on the straps covered with kayak grips but even just pulling the strap tight can cause a bit of noise on quiet days. The ropes also "slide" up and down on the tree easier once the stick is set so you can make a small adjustment here and there if necessary.

Hawks are good, except for the strap fastening system. Its like each stick is missing one thing. Personally, I think the best stick would be the hawk with the cam cleat system, or the muddy if it was full sized.
