CTRL+SHIFT+I then click toggle device emulation. Getting mobile points on desktop just worked for me. And CTRL+SHIFT+M toggles mobile emulation. So you want CTRL+SHIFT+I (or F12) to turn on developer mode, followed by CTRL+SHIFT+M to turn on mobile. Still works for me as of today.

Now, to the productive side, I use Google Chrome and installed User-Agent Switcher extension to do mobile searches from my laptop. P.S. Microsoft is not failing to give a good experience.
