"When I wanted to start finding the birds I did two things. I went to the wildlife office that held the blind drawing in the area I wanted to hunt. Take pictures of spots 1-10. Get a good map of the area and mark your map to match. Those large groups of dudes show up at the drawing for two reasons.

A small percentage got off to a decent start last weekend. Places such as Reelfoot Lake had plenty of water as did Kentucky and Barkley Lakes. Reelfoot Lake had been holding several ducks. Duck numbers here on Kentucky and Barkley lakes are low. Very low as to overall numbers on state and federal refuges.
