Kawasaki fc540v problems.
Trying to get my uncles JD lawn tractor with. a Kawasaki FC420V engine running. It lost spark last Fall. Uncle replace igniter. module and he said it started right up. Ran for about 1/2 hour and he shut it off, and would never start again. Coil was replace 2 years ago, it checks out. with ohm meter, and it has great spark at.

I have a J.D. yard 240 tractor that was given to me that has an ignition problem. long story short, after much testing & research, both in the factory manual and on line, it seems that a little goodie called an igniter module is the most likely cause of the no spark condition on the Kawasaki FC420V ... Kawasaki fc540v-ks00. so I have this Kawasaki 17hp beast. It's in my gt262 Deere. It's the later version so no igniter. Started having starting issues after heated up. Let sit for 2 hrs or so, run fine till you shutoff. Then have to let sit again. Now 2 weeks later, runs for 2 hrs or so and dies until cool. Runs another 2 hrs and dies.
