It would fit your gun as it has the same threading style, if same gauge of course, but would need to be fitted by a competant gunsmith. I have an Ithaca 37 with the 7 round extended mag tube and would like to replace the remove the barrel and mag tube to clean them and replace the forend while I'm at it. I can loosen the end cap but the barrel/magazine tube clamp prevents the barrel from rotating. I don't see a way to get the clamp off short of prying it which I won't do.The Ithaca Model 37 is a John Browning design so it's tough as a gun can be. Failures to extract are pretty well limited to a barrel problem or extractor problems. Barrel problems can be as mentioned above, a fouled/corroded chamber, and..... James, You have the typical Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight Repeater in 16 gauge with serial number 255221. You notice the serial number is on the barrel and on the front side of the receiver where the magazine tube and barrel are assembled.
