Is tradovate good.
You can code forms. They have object oriented Easy Language (their proprietary platform language). They have tablet app for trades. They have a web page you can trade. They have a web api (haven't used it or know if its any good). Their forum for asking for help is pretty good, but it logs you out after 20 or 30 minutes which is annoying as hell.

Tradovate has created a reputation for itself in a competitive market because of its superior trading tools and novel features. I am leaving TransAct for Tradovate and after a week of watching their platform perform in real time I can say I am excited about the move. DOM kept up on both the web app and the desktop version even in the highest volatility.

Tradovate has been giving problems for a while....hope things get fully rectified soon. Use the desktop app for more reliability. Log in early bc it’s not only tradovate a charts that are freezing. Typically when charts freeze across all platforms the gods of the RIP (usually up) have spoken. Tradovate's commissions are similar to NinjaTrader's after the acquisition. However, instead of 2, the platform presents commission rates for 4 types of contracts: Micros, Standards, Nanos & Events. One who wants to own a flat-rate account and save on pay-per-trade costs can buy a lifetime license for $1499. Tradovate is a very good choice. I have used tradovate for several months now. I like the dome and charting. I do wish there were more options availability on the charts and I hope they will come in the future. Pricing is very competitive and customer service is excellent. As I said I don't use Tradovate, but basic data in CQG data in Ninjatrader is $12 a month, and it provides the main CME instruments, among many others. Either way, you are paying for market data. Tradovate here, very good for order execution, but I don’t like their charts. And ffs I wish they’d make the cursor crosshairs disappear when the cursor leaves the chart. But I also have a hundred bucks in a TDA account so I can use ToS for charting, plus I can use their free version of Bookmap for a better DOM for ES and MES.Tradovate desktop app is very good.
