I didn't attempted figuring out what went wrong, tbh. Although there is a berry bug in Emerald as well, which can prevent growing, I would be really surprised if Inclement wouldn't have fixed it, because it's a decomp hack and thereby very easy to fix that in it (and that bug is basically an overflow of some kind for a very long game).

It works but it was finicky so you may need to try going and battling something or maybe just re-entering the building with the PC. also I think it overwrites the item in the PC so dont have anything valuable in their.
