It is also best place to do a scenic float trip. Not too much moving around to split lodging in Yellowstone and also stay in Tetons. The lower falls falls are 308 feet high which is twice the height of Niagra Falls. It is the largest volume waterfall in the Rocky Mountains. This was a pleasant hike for us lots of shade, but we are experienced hikers. For the occasional hiker or non-hiker it could prove to be moderately strenuous.You'd spend most of your time in the car driving. Felt is about 1.5 hour from West Yellowstone and 1 hour from Jackson. Another 1-1.5 hour to Old Faithful from West Yellowstone or 3-3.5hr to Old Faithful from Jackson.
