I of course just spammed flame of redmanes ash of war with my longsword lol. This was while my mimic ghost was tanking and distracting. My FP was like level 25, health 51, damage 50. I probably used 5 health potions and 2 magic recharge potions. Just thought I'd share my method for anyone who needs help.
Flame of Redmane does not do much damage. It also has a long start-up animation and only medium range. It's strong, but to be honest staggers and critical are not very good DPS, they are just safe. Bleeds or RKR crushing does far more damage. Colossal weapons don't actually even want to use criticals on poise break. You want to do as much damage as possible with your crits/viscerals from Flame of the Redmanes, so dont need to split your damage. Old_D 1 year ago #3. Dex = Lightning. Str = Fire. Thats pretty much the point. Fire is very strong against enemies that are weak to it. Also, once you get the proper whetblade you gain access to the flame art affinity which scales off faith. Flame Grant me Strength, Fire Scorpion Charm, & Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear are now options to increase your damage.
