I got it out of the shop today 01/21/2022. Soon as I drove it from the Dodge dealership the service shifter came back on after just having my whole shifter and wires replaced. It went away as I kept driving and by the time, I made it home it displayed do not turn engine off or shift into any gear may not be able to shift until serviced message.

The ring around the bottom of shifter has to be pryed downward, then there's a horseshoe shaped on the lower front of the shifter knob holding the shifter in place, remove the fastner and the knob comes right up. To remove the shifter bezel, remove the rubber ash tray and the front of the bezel upward.
