I really like them both. The Ruger happens to be one with a pretty good trigger, my other 101 in 357 has a horrid trigger. The 327 has a trigger that feels lighter than the KC and the contour of the trigger is more comfortable. I can shoot 32 acp,short,long,H&R mag and .327 fed mag. It is identical in size but feels slightly heavier than the KC.As an offshoot of Colt's old "D-Frame," the King Cobra is a small-framed gun with big-gun aspirations. If you have huge hands, you will find it to be small, but especially for the KC target it feels substantial without being overkill for smaller-handed people. The Python, conversely, is bigger than it has to be.

The most important difference is that the new King Cobra is a small frame revolver built on a frame and cylinder the same general size as the old Colt "D" frames like the Detective Special. The new 2020 Python uses the same size frame and cylinder as the original Python which was the Colt "I" frame.
The trigger is comparable quality to the Kimber and the 3" version is only 2 oz lighter. Only 5 rd capacity, but the rubber grip really helps recoil management.
