One was a 16' which would handle a 3 hp outboard on an adaptor that clamped onto the gunwhales, the other was the 12' Gruman aluminum alloy and touted as the lightest canoe ever made. The total weight was either 22 or 23 pounds. The 16' never got used for any but large lake fishing after the short one was purchased.
Sort-of an “A” shape, if that makes sense. Now, not much of an issue if one remains conscious and can deploy the PFD to the intended vest position but, if there is a loss of consciousness, the PFD may not work as intended.
