I believe the Mathews binary cam configuration to be far superior to Hoyt's hybrid cam and a half system. The tuning and usability of the binary cam is so user friendly comared to the myriad of issues you can run into with the hybrid cam. I shot a matthews phase 4 29 and the new hoyt vtm 34 as well. My takeaway was I didn't like the way the matthews fit my hand. It felt a little top heavy, not crazy but kind of noticeable and could've used a back bar.
