Baby measured at 6W1D and, while they found a heart beat, it was only in the 80s and the gestational sac was an irregular shape. The NP said that it could go either way but it isn't a great prognosis. We have another scan tomorrow to check on whether there have been any improvements. So you aren't alone in this!
Dec 21, 2023 · I wouldn’t worry, but go in with the expectation that you may not hear the heartbeat just yet, but it’s definitely more likely for you at 6w 6d. Also, there’s no evidence that a transvaginal ultrasound can hurt baby. Its up to you, but I would be worrying too much to wait that long for an ultrasound.
