You have the best chance of matching at your home institution, and it so happens that the Top 20 medical schools also have the Top 20 IM programs, so clearly going into a Top 10/20 medical school is automatically a huge advantage. But there is also a lot of lateral movement at the top schools.

It gets tricky adding programs if there are any data in the fields (like dates and stuff). I'd have to manually compare programs one by one from the ASHP directory and this sheet if there are any data in the fields rather than copy pasting the programs from the .csv file generated for each state.
