The ONT and router fortunately are both operational; my best guess is that they ended up reprovisioning the 10G port on the ONT so that it would pass data. Unfortunately for Fidium I used to work for a LEC & ISP, so I know what I'm talking about and I'm pleasantly persistent about getting it escalated. I hope GoNetSpeed works out for you.

I was later able to get my router working plugged directly into the ONT after changing its MAC address to match that of the Fidium-supplied Adtran.
