The A/C fan continues to run after the ignition is turned off. This has occurred on at least 10 occasions, the most recent yesterday. This occurs whether the single key only is left in or removed from the ignition. It is a concern because of the drain on the battery.

Aug 2, 2020 · I’ve never owned a Tahoe before, I did however own a 2016 Silverado with the 5.3 a few years ago and never noticed anything like this. My first thought was maybe ascending up the mountain pass it got a little hot and the fan is designed to keep running until cool, but I’m just guessing. Anybody have any thoughts on this? This should not cause a safety or a reliability issue. It sounds like there could be an issue within that temperature sensor circuit, causing these problems.
